At the conclusion of the service, Beaulah Hardy, music director and organist, presented a framed picture of the Junior Choir and their Certificate of Achievement from the Kiwanis Festival, to Bob Sockett, Peoples' Warden. In turn, on behalf of the Junior Choir, Laurie St. Pierre, presented a gift to Beaulah for her devotion and many extra hours freely given to the choir. The Sunday School teachers gave out Cer- tificates and Awards to their respective classes for the previous year. Those children who received at- tendance awards are marked with an "x" following their name. Because of the poor weather, the "picnic in the park", became the "picnic in the lower hall", complete with a birthday cake to celebrate Holy Trinity's birthday. Many thanks go out to Nancy and Andy Van Geel who took charge of the games and contests. It was a' very happy and enjoyable time for all who were there. Mr. Lorne Thrower, minister of Hibbert United Church was speaker at the church service here while Rev. Ralph King was speaking at the Anniversary Service there on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Lanin and family, Dublin( were Sunday guests with Mr. and Mrs. David Wheeler and family. The Kirkton Woodham Young People held their annual service in Woodham United Church Sunday evening. Several members took part in the readings and dialogues Special speaker was Richard Yake of London who also read the "Ten Commandments For Our Relationships With Persons Who are Physically Disabled." Mr. Yake chaired the London Area Inter -Faith Conference on the Year of FIRE CALLS Wednesday afternoon, the Lucan volunteer firemen answered a call from the Ailsa Craig department to the Cornelius farm, just East of Ailsa Craig, where the large barn and some livestock were destroyed. Sunday, about 12:15 a.m. they responded to a call when a smoke detector activated in a house under construction near St. Patrick's School on the Roman Line.
