I UNDERSTAND SOME PEOPLE PRE-
PLAN THEIR OWN FUNERALS: WHY DO
THEY?
TO BE SURE
That's the title of a complimentary booklet which
may answer a lot of questions you may have.
Many residents of our community have used this
guide in deciding NOW (when there is no stress or
emergency) about making arrangements for
funerals IN ADVANCE OF NEED.
Why pre -plan a funeral? First, you can make
decisions and choices, yourself, with full composure
instead of under the unfortunate circumstances of
grieving and emotional stress. Second, you need not
"overspend". You should select only the service, the
casket, and those accessories which you feel are im-
portant.
That beloved and meaningfully significant Scripture
passage, that special hymn, the minister whose un-
derstanding and compassion you so admire - all can
be part of your service, if you make your wishes
known and arranged -for in advance.
The booklet covers a great deal more. Call or write
for a free copy. _ ,sf

Go to Arkona, Sunday
Centennials win first
An excellent brand of
soccer was played Sunday
afternoon when the home
team Centennials won their
first game of the season by
beating West Williams 3-2.
In the past the team scor-
ing the first goal went on to
win the game. The rule held
true for Sunday as well.
when Gerald Weersink with
sheer hustle scored the first
goal to give Exeter the lead
in the first half.
Minutes later Paul
Vanderwall kicked a well
placed ball from about 30
yards out to give Exeter a 2-
0 lead. Just before the• half
ran out Ted Van Weiren
from West Williams narrow-
ed the score to 2-1.
The second half started
well for Exeter with centre
forward Paul Vanderwall
receiving a break away pass
from centre half Alfonse
Weersink to up the score to
3-1.
About the 30 minute mark
John Michielson from West
Williams scored on a
perfectly placed corner kick
to narrow the score to one
goal again of 3-2.
West Williams put on a
sustained attack to no
avail and the score
remained the same till the
end of the game.
Exeter played a strong
defensive game in every
department even to the ex-
tent of one of Exeter's defen-
sive players receiving a
punch from a West Williams
player mainly due to frustra-
tion. He held himself back to
avoid hurting the team as a
whole and as a result the
West Williams player was
ejected from the game and
the West Williams team had
to play one man short for the
rest of the game.
Exeter played one of it's
finer games of the season
mainly by playing as a team
and every player fullfilling
their responsibilities.
Instead of the usual prac-
tice Thursday night Exeter
travels to Goderich to play
an exhibition match. Game
time is 8:00 p.m. under the
lights.
Special thanks to
employees and personnel at
Arc Industries in supporting
the two teams last Sunday.
Exeter also plays next
Sunday afternoon at 2:00
p.m. in Arkona against Tax-
andria B.
The best way to get ahead
is to use the one you have.
