weekly meet at the Kippen
gun club.

Jack Mills, Glen Mogk, Tom
Allan, Bill Stewart, Kevin
Lamport and Fred Brall
scored 24,
Checking in with 22 scores
were Edwin Miller, Paul
Johnson, Grant McGregor,
Jim Butcher and Roy
Lamport. Lloyd Venner hit
21, Jack Bell, - Wayne
McBride, Mery Batkin and
Bryan Beer scored 19 and
Gladys McGregor 18.

baseball team scored a
doubleheader vitory in
WOAA league action Sunday
afternoon.

Dashwood, the juveniles
downed the Goderich
midgets 5-1 and followed
with a 7-1 victory over the
Exeter midgets.
In Sunday's opener they
allowed only two hits to
Goderich. Both were singles

The first Exeter run came
in the third inning when Pete
Tuckey singled and scored
on a similar hit from the bat
of Joe Becker.
In the fourth Brian Horner
singled and rode home on
Greg Prout's double and
singles by Joe Becker and
Brian Horner and a triple
from Kevin Easterbrook
sent three runs across in the
fifth inning.
In the win over the Exeter
midgets, the juveniles
scored four times in the se-
cond frame and were well on
the way to victory.
Second inning hits came
from the bats of Dave
Woodward and Don Beaver.
Greg Prout doubled and
Rick Lindenfield socked a
single for another run in the
fifth and a double by Dan
Lines completed the scoring
in the sixth.
The only midget run was
tallied in the second by Tim
McAllister on a single by
Dave Hayter.
Milverton ball
tourney all set
The second Milverton
International Softball
Classic is set for June 12, 13
and 14 with plenty of good
softball action for area fans.
Twelve intermediate men's
teams and twelve senior
women's teams will be battl-
ing for first place at the
Legion anddiamondsarenain
Milverton, Newton and
Millbank.
The teams are divided into
four divisions, two men's
and two women's. Each
team is guaranteed five
games in division play with
the top two teams in each
division going to the finals. A
total of 62 games will be
played over the weekend.
Following the games
Saturday night, June 12, a
social evening, sponsored by
the Milverton Lions entitled
"Batting 500" will be held at
the Milverton Arena. Music
will be by "Royce Riehl."
Admission to the dance is 83.

Weekend passes are
available for the tournament
at 88.00 per person.

Rick Kuepfer led the
Dashwood attack with a
home run with two mates
aboard in the sixth inning.
Trevor Johnston added a
double and single.
In the victory over
Crediton, Exeter scored six
runs In the second inning and
enjoyed a seven run outburst
in the fifth frame.
In the Exeter first, George
Pratt drew a walk and
scored on a single by Scott
Lovie. The second run rally
was powered by a couple of
walks and errors and singles
from the bats of Frank Giffin
and George Pratt.
Giffin singled for the
second time and scored
along with Steve Merner in
the fourth inning. George
Pratt's double and a single
by Lovie helped produce the
big fifth Inning scoring and
Giffin's third hit of the game
helped score the final two
runs in the sixth.
John Remple scored the
first Crediton run in the third
on a hit delivered by Scott
Dinney and Jeff Slaght
singled and scored in the
fourth frame.
Liam Brennan and Eugene
Glanville walked and scored
in the Crediton fifth with the
help of more fret passes and
Allan Brand, Scott Dinney
and Brennan crossed the
plate for Crediton in the
sixth.
Scott Lovie and Jeff Pfaff
again shared pitching duties
for Exeter while Scott
Dinney went the distance for
the
losers.
