Friday. The tour was con-
ducted by MacNaughton
Tours, Ilderton and
organized by the United
Church Womens group. The
floral displays of tulips,
pansiesand cherry blossoms
were a delight to the eye.
Sunday at Zion United
Church, 8 children were
baptized into the body of the
church. About 300 people
witnessed the dedication.
Those children dedicated
were: Jason Michael Stuart
Erikson son of Mr. and Mrs.
Mike Erikson; Laura Lynne
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Alvin Draisey; Lesley
Yvonne daughter of Marilyn
Schmidt; Tabatha Lynn
daughter of Mrs. Bonnie
Hamlin; Christopher
Charles son of Mr. and Mrs.
Dale Dinney; Tony Cecil
Ross son of Virginia Smith;
William Donald Richard son
of Mr. and Mrs. William
Tideswell; Andrew Graham
son of Mr. and Mrs. Graham
Swaine. Five Great grand-
mothers received a yellow
rose from the church. And 27
grandmothers received a
rose. The roses were pinned
on by Joanne Slaght, Carol
Ann Smith and Ruth Martin.
A 130th anniversary
service will be held at Zion
United Church, May 24, 1981.
Rev D.S. Warren will be
guest speaker. A light lunch
will be served following the
10 o'clock service.
Last Saturday, Dick Lord,
Crediton, completed his sky-
diving class by parachuting
from 2,800 feet. He com-
pleted his training at the
Parachute School of Toronto,
Arthur, Ontario after at-
tending classes at Fanshawe
College, London.
There are some who
become the life of the party
only when they leave it.

Church service. Reverend
Ralph King was assisted by

Robinson. The choir sang the
anthem "When There's Love
Home." The sacrament of
baptism was performed
when Cortney-Mae,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Mossey and Rebecca
Janet Rose, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Randy Preszcator
were baptized.
The basket of flowers in
the church sanctuary Sun-
day were in memory of the
late Mrs. Mabel Skinner
having been placed there by
her daughter, Mrs. Jim
Rundle and family.
Mrs. Helen McMillan of
Collingwood and Mr. J. Bell,
Nottawa spent a couple of
days with their cousin, Mrs.

Person. The Bible reading
was given by Jane Simpson.
Janet Willows gave the ap-
proach and prayer was
offered by Stephanie
Hartwick. The choir sang an
anthem "Joy is Like The
Rain" accompanied by Mrs.
Earl Stephens on the piano
and Philip Blackler on
guitar. A social hour follow-
ed.

Thomas spent the weekend
with Ethel Copeland.

his mother Mrs. George
Davis in Exeter who was
celebrating her 85th birth-
day.

Roman Catholic Mass was
held in the chapel on Friday
morning. Friday afternoon
the residents enjoyed Bingo
on Ground North.
Old tyme music and Over
90 club combined was held in
the auditorium on Monday
afternoon with Howard
Smith and his orchestra
entertaining. Residents en-
joyed many old favourites
and the sweet music from
the piano, violins, guitar and
banjo.
Tuesday was a busy day at
Huronview with Caravan
Clothes set up in the
auditorium giving residents
and stpff the opportunity to
shop fur some item of
clothing.
Day Care held a workshop
at the town hall in Clinton on
Tuesday with the topic being
"Assessing Recreation Ser-
yices For Older -Adults In
Small Communities," and
was attended by three
Huronview staff members.
