Baptism
held at
Exeter UC
Family Sunday in the
Exeter United Church saw
five families of the
-"ngregation take their vows
1 present their children
c baptism. The babies
baptised were:
Julie Christina, daughter
of George and Lois Godbolt ;
Joel Spencer, son of Randy
and Yvonne Evans; Jaden
William, son of Bill and
Linda Russell; David
Franklin, son of Larry and
Donna Shapton; Jacky Tina
Eileen, daughter of Milo and
Hilda Westlake.
The congregation stood to
affirm their support and love
for the parents and newly
baptised children. After the
baptism the choir sang
"Happy the Horne when God
is there."
In summing up his sermon
"Home - A place to Come
and Go," Rev, Forsythe
emphasized that parents
must strive to make that
type of home where their
young children can find love,
comfort, compassion; a
place to live and a place to
grow; a place to come to.
But it must also become a
home that will provide
support, encouragement,
guidance and education. It
must be a place to Go from,
such that when the child
leaves the home for the first
time it provides strength and
assurances to meet the
challenges of a demanding
world .
For the third time in as
many Sundays the church
has been filled to near
capacity. Come early next
Sunday for a pre -service
