Play was fairly even ex- cept for the last five minutes of the game. The first half ended in a scoreless draw with neither team getting any good scoring op- portunities. The second half started fairly well for Exeter with centre forward Paul Van- derWall just missing with a head ball kicked from the wing by Alfonse Weersink. Catharine, 15 years of age and in grade 10 at SHDHS won the intermediate beam division and was seventh overall in the province against 30 other com- petitors. In addition, she was seventh in floor competition and 18th on the bars. Catharine is the daughter of Hugh and Pat Patterson. Exeter. The half line consists of Joe Laurie, Hugh Connon, Rick Raeburn, Gerald Weersink and John Muller. John "Jake" Rasenburg, Bill White, Dave Holmes,. Mike Janyu make up the full- backs with Dick Lord presently the goalie. The team practices every week on Wednesday nights with games Sunday af- ternoons. The league has a mid-season tournament in June with the playoffs starting in September The league comprises of two divisions with seven teams from Sarnia and Wallaceburg making up Ausable West. Ausable East consists of Taxandria Falcons, Taxandria B, West Williams, Lucan, Nairn, Huron Park, Grand Bend and Exeter. Come out and see the world's most exciting game. Next home game is at the Canners field May 17 at 2 p.m. against Lucan.
