Her husband is the pastor at Monk ton's Pentecostal church. Mrs. Rennick was in- troduced by her mother, Ruth McLaren. Visiting at the meeting was her aunt Jean Kading of Grand Bend. Mrs. Rennick spoke on the importance of doing and being what God wants us to do or be. She said that too often we bemoan and blame our circumstances for our problems, when we should open up and let God show us what to do. "God is as big as we'll let him be," she stressed. She compared Christians to the old nursery rhyme -- "Pussy cat, pussy cat, where have you been, I've been to London to visit the Queen, Pussy cat pussy cat, what did you there, 1 frightened a little mouse under a chair." She said that the cat had travelled to London, and had all kinds of opportunities, but only frightened a mouse, which is something the cat could have done at home. She explained that similarly, Christians need to look beyond their own little world. "We need more concern for others, not just our denomination, our family, our town," she said. She asked that God give us the ability to enlarge our visions, and enlarge our coasts. Shirley Luther led the hymn singing, with Hazel Snell playing the piano. A prayer was said by Dorothy Parker and Ella Baily read the scripture. Change is planned in pre -natal class The Huron County Health Unit has provided classes for expectant parents for the past ten years. The format of these classes has been a series of eight classes which most expectant parents attend from the fifth month of pregnancy. The purpose of these pre- natal classes has been to help expectant parents to have a healthy pre -natal period and to prepare them for labour and delivery. Emphasis is placed on the importance of life style habits related to the development of the unborn child, as well as the care of the baby and the family relationship surrounding the addition of a new member. Research has recently illustrated that many potentially harmful effects to the developing foetus may be prevented. Expectant parents need to have this information in the early days of pregnancy or prior to pregnancy. For this reason the Health Unit, starting in June will introduce "early bird" classes geared to the needs of the pregnant women in the first trimester (first three months) and to those parents who are planning a pregnancy. 'Information given at these classes will include development of the foetus, body changes, nutritional needs of the expectant mother, potential risks to developing foetus and emotional changes related to pregnancy. This session would consist of two classes and would be followed three months later by the remainder of the session to include preparation for labour and delivery. breathing and relaxation technique, care of the newborn and the post partum period. The later session will consist of six classes. COMING SOON To Exeter JACQUELINE'S Specialty Fashions Ltd.
