Stores represented by the drawing above are content
to just open their doors in the morning and take
whatever business happens to walk in. They never
advertise to let people know about their values,
products or services -.- and sooner or later more and
more people get the impression they could care less
about having them as customers. Sometimes these
stores' sit back and let their competitors do the
promoting and hope they will attract some spin off
business but they don't realize they're still paying for
advertising through sales they are losing to more
aggressive merchandisers.

As a retailer, which picture
do you Think people would
choose to represent L:\
your store?
Stores represented by the illustration at the right are
happy to attract plus business by advertising regular-
ly. They want you to know what's available and if
they're offering special values they want you to come
in and take advantage of them. In short, they want
your business and they don't .mind asking for it. At
our newpaper we like to think this illustration
represents our advertisers. We also think it's the type
of firm you'd prefer to do business with.
