The Theme was "Its Time to come .Alive". They sang "Jesus Christ is Risen". Mrs. Bev Alexander read Mark 5-24- 34. Mrs. Gordon McCarter read "The Nameless Woman in the Bible". Mrs. Rowcliffe was in charge of "Worship Service for Women". Those assisting were Mrs. Rick Parker, Mrs. Bev Alexander, Mrs. Barry Jeffery, Mrs. Larry Ballantyne, Mrs. Gordon McCarter, i,which,.was • quite interesting. We sang There Is a Green Hill Far Away. Mrs. Barry Jeffery read "Lord Let me Take Time". Mrs. Ballan- tyne and Mrs. McCarter received the Thank -Offering. Mrs. Parker gave the Offertory prayer.Mrs. ,Alexander gave a reading "Imterm" Mrs. Rowcliffe closed the worship service with a prayer. President Mrs. Murray Dawson opened the business part of the meeting with a poem "Rain". Roll call, minutes, cards of thanks, treasurers report were received. The carpet has all been laid in the auditorium the front entry way and the hall upstairs. The price was settled for the new cook books which are going to be printed in the near future. Westminster College weekend 29, 30, and 31 of May was mentioned, also Alma College in August. It was decided which groups were doing the lunches, weddings etc. this spring and summer. The ,three groups will be doing the Co-op banquet in November. We sang 0 Rejoice in the Lord Always. A delicious lunch was served by the hostess Mrs. Jack Stewart and members of Group W to 32 ladies. The Centennial steering committee will meet on Monday April 20 at 8 p.m. Don't forget the Tyro Father and Son banquet Wednesday April 22 at 7 p.m. Rev. Mr. & Mrs. Ross Hargreaves and Mr. & Mrs. William Rohde were at Woodham United Church Wednesday evening when the Schnieder male chorus put on a concert. Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Ballantyne returned home Friday after having spent the winter in Florida. Fete bride at Crediton By MRS. PETER MARTIN Monday evening a com- munity shower was held in the Sunday School roclms of Lion. United Church. The ladies gathered to fete Barb Wein, bride elect of May 2. A welcome by Eleanor Roeszler was followed by a reading by Anne Cottel. Miss Wein introduced the wedding party. Terri Lynn Witherspoon gave the address after open- ing her gifts Barb thanked everyone. A contest was con- ducted by Karen Hodge. Lunch was served.
