Sunday service
"Finding God in Unex-
pected Places" was the sub-
ject chosen by Mrs. John
Beaton. London, guest
speaker at the service in the
United Church on Sunday
morning.
Moses saw burning bush
as a sign from God. Jacob
with only a stone for a pillow
found God. Other references
used were the pearl of great
price and the treasure
buried in the field.
We see God in nature, the
budding of the trees and the
opening of a flower.
Sometimes God comes to us
through our children, Jesus
would go off by himself and
wait for inspiration from
God.
Mrs. Chas. Hollings
assisted in conducting the
service. The choir sang an
anthem. The flowers in the
church were in memory of
the late Mr. Cecil Skinner.
This coming Sunday Mr.
Peter Snell will be in charge
ofthe service.
