The Tigers have scheduled at} indoor workout on Wednesday April 15 at the South Huron Rec Centre from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Propective players are asked to bring running shoes and gloves. The Dashwood club will be competing in the new Great Lakes senior league. Other senior teams are from Kincardine, Clinton, Thorndale and Arva along with junior clubs from London, Byron and Strathroy. A meeting to set up this summer's schedule will be held tonight , Wednesday at the Dashwood Hotel. Many of them sought sponsors and obtained pledges based on the number of points they scored in a game which they bowled for Big (and little ) Brothers. Jim Chapman, president of the Association. was more than pleased with the results of the Bowl-a-thon. "The bowlers are a super fan- tastic group and they really worked to make the event a success. It;s really great to have this kind of response from them and the corn- munity." Chapman also commented that the owners of the bowl- ing lanes, Mr and Mrs. Farquhar in Exeter and Mr. and Mrs. Tony Bedard in Zurich were most co- operative and helpful. "They really deserve a huge vote of thanks for their efforts and • donations of time and facilities". The bowlers in South Huron have raised dearly $ 00- and a few receipts are Ain expected. The funds are used to provide ac- tivities and outings for little brothers and their partners, training sessions, office supplies and some wages for secretarial and counselling help. Exeter bowlers raised over $1,400.00 and Zurich area contributed over $800. A special group of bowlers rolled a game for Big Brothers too. These By MRS. J. TEMPLEMAN Mrs. Nelsen Hunkin, Teeswater, has been visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Miller. Perth South District Women's Itistitute executive met at the home of Mrs. John Templeman. Tuesday afternoon to plan the up- coming District Annual. Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Ebel, Stratford, Miss Carol Stewart, Hamilton, and Mr. and Mrs. Rob Templeman, attended the 25th anniversay party for Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hey, in Windsor, Saturday evening. Mike Parsons is home from Edmaag�ton, with his family for a iew weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Art Smale, visited recently with Dr. and Mrs. Bob Smale; in Midland. At time of writing Mr. Ken McKellar, is a patient in Stratford General Hospital. Crediton East By MRS. Miss Lesley Pfaff celebrated her sixth birth- day April 2. This group raised nearly $1800.00. Al Rankin, with a lot of help from the workers at Dashwood industries, ob- tained over $700.00 in pledges and wag the high contributor in this group. An Exeter ladies bowling league team. the Berkley Babes, went all out to obtain pledges and raise money for Big Brothers. Team work paid off as this super group collected over $475.00. Pete McFalls earned enough pledges from his sponsors to make him the highest contributor from the Exeter Men s Bowling league. The pledges, with Pete's score, resulted in a donation of over $130. toward the work of Big Brothers.
