Big Brothers bag
owners
League bowlers in Exeter
and Zurich played a star role
In raising funds for the South
Huron Big Brothers Associa-
tion. Many of them sought
sponsors and obtained
pledges based on the number
of points they scored in a
game which they bowled for
Big (and little ) Brothers.
Jim Chapman, president
of the Association. was more
than pleased with the results
of the Bowl-a-thon. "The
bowlers are a super fan-
tastic group and they really
worked to make the event a
success. It;s really great to
have this kind of response
from them and the corn-
munity."
Chapman also commented
that the owners of the bowl-
ing lanes, Mr and Mrs.
Farquhar in Exeter and Mr.
and Mrs. Tony Bedard in
Zurich were most co-
operative and helpful. "They
really deserve a huge vote of
thanks for their efforts and •
donations of time and
facilities".
The bowlers in South
Huron have raised dearly
$ 00- and a few receipts
are Ain expected. The funds
are used to provide ac-
tivities and outings for little
brothers and their partners,
training sessions, office
supplies and some wages for
secretarial and counselling
help.
Exeter bowlers raised
over $1,400.00 and Zurich
area contributed over $800.
A special group of bowlers
rolled a game for Big
Brothers too. These
