at Brinsley

Craig joined in a corporate
communion service. Sunday
in St. Mary's church with the
rector. Rev John Latham in
charge Following the ser-
vice lunch was served in the
basement of the church.

Visitors with Mr. and Mrs.
Jack Trevithick Wednesday
were Mr. and Mrs. Garnet
Trevithick. St. Thomas.
Mr and Mrs. Jim Morley
were Y'ednesday evening
visitors with Mr. and Mrs.
Joe Durand and family.
Friends in the community
were saddened to hear of the
death of Ed Hemming,
formerly of Lieurv.
Kathy Prest is a patient in
St. Joseph's Hospital, Lon-
don
April Hodgins spent a few
days with her aunt and uncle
Mir and Mrs. Joe Durand
and family during the March
break.
Miss Ruth Trevithick,
Etobicoke visited with her
parents Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Trevithick over the holiday.
Sympathy is extended to
Howard Hodgson and family
in the sudden passing of his
wife Monday. Funeral ser-

gathered at the home of Mrs.
George Prest Saturday
afternoon for a surprise
shower to honour Cindy
whose marriage is to take
place. May 23.

tosh. Arkona Were dinner
guests Sunday with Mr. and
Mrs. Harvey Morley.
The community extends
its sympathy to Mr. and
Mrs. Gerald Thompson and
family in the recent death of
his mother.
Mrs. Fred Lewis was
hostess for the U.C.W. held
on Wednesday evening.
Viola Lewis took charge of
the meeting which opened by
singing hymn -Fairest Lord
Jesus." Mrs. George Lee
read the scripture reading
and Viola Lewis gave a
reading • 'Two visions of Life
followed by the singing of
another hymn 'Take up the
Cross." Mrs. Lee and Viola
Lewis read from the study
book. Minutes were read and
the roll call was answered
by 8 members being present.
Closing hymn "The Lord is
my Shepherd" . Lunch. was
served by Group three
ladies.
RECEIVES AWARD — Gary
Blanchard, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Clifford Blanchard of
283 Mill Street, Exeter was
presented with the Architec-
tural Achievement Award by
the London Chapter. of the
Association of Architectural
Technologists of Ontario, for
the highest achievement in
the graduating class of
architectural technicians at
Fanshowe College. Five
nominees are selected by
their peers, and the final
recipient is chosen by
teachers. The award is based
on technical design ability,
and personal involvement in
school life.
