take on the top finisher in
the opposing conference, a
powerful Detroit squad.
The game in Wingham was
sponsored by Alpha Huron as
part of their activities in
1981, the International Year
of Disabled Persons. It was a
success
successful introduction of
the sport of wheelchair
basketball to the people of
Huron and neighboring coun-
ties.
According to Bruce
Russell of the Flyers, it was
one of the largest crowds he
has experienced.
Drycleaning
Improves
Drapes
Draperies or cvnams (even those
labeled 'Washable") are allowed to
shank up to 4% of their original ate.
On a 90" drape. this means up to a 3X"
change!
The allowable standard for drycleaning
is 2% drapery shrinkage.
DryWaning is the belt method of
Waning cotton and rayon draperies.
These cellulose fibers absorb water and
swell when humidity is high, and release
water and thunk when it lowers. Changes
caused by weather are made greater by
writhing. Since dryWaning uses almost
:.no water, it insures your draperies will
not suffer a permanent loss of ht.
Laundering doesn't remove some types
of soil your draperies accumulate. Gases
from cooking hunts. cigarette smoke,
gas -heated appliances and pollutants in
the air of your horse settle in your
drapes. These "acid soils" deteriorate
fabric fibers. (Damage is accelerated if
d splines hang in heat, such as near a
radiator.)
Most home machines don't have the
capacity to handle drapes. In the washer.
this results in soap not being evenly
distributed; and in the dryer - excessive
lebric wrinkling.
Grand lend aeon.., recommends
only drycleaning for your drapes. The
best care you can give them at home it
frequent vacuuming, since draperies, ryn-
thetic fabrics especially, pick up dry soil
(dust) from the air due to static electric
icy
To reinforce this recommendation
