The second meeting of the
4-H Club Hurondale 1 Simple
Sewers was held at the home
of one of the leaders Mrs.
Mac Hodgert recently.
The club is called Ready,
Set, Sew. The other leader is
Cheryl Stewart.
The officers are:
president, Patrlcia Hodgert;
vice president, Barbara
Clandeboye
Marilyn Lee is back on the
job at Carter's General
Store, after a two weeks
holiday that she and her hus-
band George, spent with Mr.
and Mrs. Cecil Lewis in Port
St. Lucie, Florida.
While there, they visited
with former Clandeboye
residents, Russ and Edna
Baker who now make their
home in Florida. Also visited
with Mrs. Gladys Hall of
London who was in Florida
for a three month vacation.
Hydro was off for as long
as four hours in some sec-
tions of the Clandeboye area
Sunday evening.

Marguerite Gibson, London.
Mrs. Edwin Miller visited
Thursday and Friday with
her mother Mrs. Sutherland,
Mt. Brydges.

Hurondale
4-H meet
January 27 Hurondale IV
had its first meeting for the
4-H sewing club.
The meeting started off
with a vote for club officers.
The officers are: Presi-
dent - Susan Gregus. Vice-
president - Joanne Kints,
press reporter - Kirsten
Hoogenboom, secretary -
roving.
After the meeting was ad-
journed Mary DeBoer made
sure that everyone knew
each other. When that was
finished she handed out the
books for the club.
Mary started to read in the
book. continued by the
members.
Everyone was measured
in metric to pick out their
pattern size.
After that the leaders got
some patterns of vests and
skirts out to look at.
The next meeting will be
February 10 at 7:00 p.m. at
MaryLou Thompson's.

Vestry meeting_
at Saintsbury

The annual Vestry
meeting of St. Patrick's
church was held Thursday
evening. Rev. G. Smith
opened with prayer.
Mrs. Eileen Carroll Vestry
clerk read the minutes of the
1980 meeting. Pressurer
Mrs. Hazel Davis read the
report and in the absence of
Mrs. Mary Davis read the
A.C.W. and Guild reports.
Mr. Gote Wennerstrom,
ministers warden for several
years resigned and Mrs.
Margaret Carroll was ap-
pointed. Hugh Davis is
People's Warden, Hazel
Davis treasurer and Mrs.
Sheryl Carroll organist for
1981. The reports showed a
financially good year.
Personals
Mr. & Mrs. Larry Greenlee
spent a couple of days this
week at the Farm Show in
Toronto.
Mrs. Mary Davis and her
sister Mrs. Alexia Atkinson,
Lucan returned home from a
two week visit with relatives
in Florida and Saturday they
visited the Stephenson
funeral home to pay their
respects to their cousin the
late Frank Dickins,
McGillivray township.
They also called on Mr. &
Mrs Earl Shoebottom,
Ilderton. Mrs. Shoebottom
had just returned home from
a London hospital.
Mr. & Mrs. Hugh Davis
were Sunday dinner guests
with their son, Mr. & Mrs.
Michael Davis.
Doug Jackson, London
spent the week end with the
Fred Dobbs family.
Bob Tindall attended the
Farm Show in Toronto
Thursday where he met with
his brother Allan Tindall,
Wiarton also his daughter
and son-in-law Mr. & Mrs.
Ron Cunningham of Mar.
