A South Huron District
High School student has
brought fame and fortune to
her school through her
culinary skills. Alice
Dietrich, a grade 10 home
economics student, was one
of five girls in Ontario who
travelled to Toronto recently
to cook an original recipe for
a panel of judges. For her
cooking ability, the school
was awarded $350.
But the fame and fortune
doesn't end there. On
February 18, Alice will be a
guest on the CFPL television
show Morning Break, where
she will prepare her prize
winning dish.
Alice's delectable dinner is
named Pork and Rice
Deluxe. She began working
on the dinner dish last fall,
when her Home Ec. teacher,
Betty Janke, told the class
