Floor hockey is the main
event at this time of year in
our school. The juniors play
hockey in the gymnasium
and the seniors play outside
on a rink constructed in the
snow. The senior games are
refereedby grade eight boys
whilst staff referee the
junior games.
This month St. Patrick's
School is really starting
fresh in 1981 year, as the
inside of every class is
getting a "facelift". Each
teacher picks his or her own
colour to redecorate the
classroom. In addition, new
drapes are to be added.

The Feast of the Con-
version of St. Paul was
celebrated with a service of
Holy Baptism and the
Eucharist on Sunday at Holy
Trinity Anglican Church. On
this day the church's
greatest missionary was
called into his ministry of
Christ on the Damascus
Road.
Melissa Cheryl Hessel,
infant daughter of Douglas
and Cheryl Hessell, was
welcomed into the body of
Christ in her baptism and
she starts a new ministry for
Christ. Following the bap-
tism an anthem "You have
been Baptised in Christ"
was sung by the Junior Choir
accompanied by Penny
Hodgins on her guitar.
Scripture readings were
taken by the Rector and Kay
Egan, The Homily took the
form of the Rector's report
to the Parish.
The report touched on such
things as the present
situation, the ministry in the
Parish, administration and
finance, property, Christian
Education and finally future
directions.
Following the service
members retired to the
lower hall for luncheon and
the annual Vestry meeting,
chaired by the Rector. All
had been said in his report
which resulted in an ex-
cellent meeting and with
God's help we will work
together to accomplish the
tasks given us for 1981.
Russ Radcliffe remained
as Rector's Warden with
Deputy being Jim Shipley,
Ken Moore remained as
people's Warden with Jim
Davis as Deputy. Two new
Lay Delegates are Lorraine
Smith and Teresa Bloch and
one new substitute Norah
Elson.
Two new members on the
Board are Andy VanGeel
and Robert Sockett. The
Youth member appointed for
the first time is Susan
Hodgins. The new treasurer
is Mr. Neville Clarke. The
proposed budget was
presented and accepted and
all organizations reported a
very successful year, in 1980.
