The speaker used the story
of the potter as related in
chapter 18 in the book of
Jeremiah as a Biblical
background for his sermon.
He urged his listeners to let
Jesus mold their lives just as
the potter molds the clay.
Mr. Heywood told from his
own experience what it
means to be a reborn
Christian. We have to learn
to keep our eyes on Jesus and
seek strength through
prayer and Bible study.
The choir sang an anthem
and Mr. Heywood sang two
numbers and played his own
accordion accompaniment.
The service this coming
Sunday is being arranged by
the United Church Women.
Mrs. Luther of Hensall will
be the guest speaker.

Church news
At the United Church the
Rev. Elwood Morden was in
charge of the morning
worship continuing with his
series on worship he entitled
his sermon "The Sacrifice of
Worship".
If you don't know what you
are looking for in church,
you are not likely to find it,
said Rev. Morden. Each
spiritual believer is expected
to put some sacrifice into his
worship. In order to get all
that we can out of worship
we must put into it sacrifice
' and in return, we get the
healing presence of God.

At St. Thomas Anglican
church the Rev. Greg Smith
conducted the morning
service. The 1st Lesson was
read by Kenneth Hoar and
the 2nd lesson was read by
the Rector. Taking his
sermon from the second
lesson Rev. Smith spoke on
the conversion of St. Paul.
Through the preaching of the
Blessed Apostle St. Paul, it
has caused the light of the
Gospel to shine throughout
the world.
In his message to the
children, the Rector, with
the help of a toy caterpillar,
told the story of change and
the way it affects us, relating
this to his sermon. The
caterpillar was unhappy
because he had to crawl on
the ground and envied the
butterflies, but it was a
different story when he
himself became a butterfly.
