WILLIAM ROHDE The January meeting of the United Church Women was held on Monday evening with 25 ladies present. The theme "The Changing Year" and the Call to Worship was given by Mrs. Lee Webber. The Scripture Lesson was read by Mrs. Jim Snow. A hymn "Standing at the portal" was ac- companied E,y Mrs. Glen Stewart. Readings were given by Mrs. Webber, Mrs. Floyd Stewart, and Mrs. Murray Dawson. Mrs. Glenn Rohde led in prayer. Pastor Ross Hargreaves was in charge of the Installation Service. The offering was received by Mrs. Glenn Rohde and Mrs. Jim Snow and the Offertory prayer by Mrs. Webber. Mrs. Webber introduced GGUARDIAN DRUGS.. Exeter Pharmacy Ltd. The new secretary Ars. Barry E. Miller called the roll, read the minutes and the cards of thanks. Mrs. Ross Hodgert gave the treasurer's report. Banquet and wedding prices were set as well as lunches. The Strawberry supper was set for June 22. The prices for the new cook books were discussed. The ladies are to bring their recipes to the February meeting. Mrs. Dawson closed the meeting with prayer. Lunch was served by Group W under the leadership of Mrs. Jack Duncan and the hostess Mrs. Mac Hodgert. The Annual congregation and pot luck dinner will be held Sunday January 25 after the regular church service. The Session will have their postponed meeting Wednesday evening January 14 at the manse. The Tyros are having a bowling party Wednesday January 14. and the Explorer Girls on Saturday January 17. The Young People held their meeting Sunday evening at Elimville. They planned a toboggan party for February 1. Barry Miller of Farquhar is a patient in Seaforth Community Hospital. Mrs. Arnold Cann and Mrs. William Allen are patients in Victoria Hospital London.
