Illness of One of the Panteagen Diagnosed as Dread Scourge. THE HUDSON BAY RAILWAY Tenders Will be Called in January for Construction of the Fir3t 150 Mile3 .4 despatch from Ottawa says: It is announce/1 that the construc- tion of the Hudson Bay Railway from the Pis Mission to Split Lake wi:1 be proceeded with without wait- ing fur a decision as to whether Fort Nelson or Wort Churchill is to hos a tertninal port. Tenders will be called for the construction of the first 150 miles, probably in Janu- ary. No less than four large interests will compete for this contract. Mr. J. 1) McArthur, one of the largest contractors for the National Trans- continental, a ill tender fur the con- struction of the Hudson Bay Rail- way; so also will Mr. 1. - J: -- O'Brien, of Renfrew. Another ten- der ix expected from a powerful syndicate. A fourth tender, and probably the successful one, will be made by the Canadian Northern Railway.
