loads of cattle to the Toronto market

accompanied them.
Mr. D. McInnis who left the let of
May for the west, returned home on
Tuesday of this week. Mr. McInnis
stated that the crops were looking
good and that he never saw the land
better worked than it had been this
spring. While west he sold a section
of land for $30 an acre.
On Friday evening of last week the
members of the Caren Presbyterian
Church Choir were pleasantly enter-
tained at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
W. D. 1Veidenhammer. During the
evening Mian Jessie Dow, who has
been a valued member of the choir

with a handsome cut -glees water bot-
tle and goblets. also a pair of cut -glass

of a very pretty wedding, when his
daughter, Miss Jessie Sloan Dow, w.ts
married to Dr. Hugh troy Lindsay. of
Scranton, N. i). The ceremony was
performed by Rev. 1Vm. el. Martin,
ft, .)., of London, assisted by Rev. H.
F. Sharp, B. 1)., at 1 ei'r p.m. The
young couple were unattended. They
left in the evening for Detroit and
other places and will return to Scran-
ton by boat. Guest; were present
from Toronto, Stratford, St. 'i'honras
and Orillia. Mise Dow Is one of Exp.
ter's most popular young ladies and
hers a holt of friends who join with
the "Thule," in the very best wishes
for thier future prosperity.

water mains along Wellington 'streets
to the G. T. R. Tracks. The Company
are prepared to pay the game rate as
other tnanufacturing firms are doing
in order to 'have'the_water in their
plants and then to have fire pro-
tection as well. rile also thought that
arrangements could be entered Into
with tbo officials of the G. T. It. who
would also use their .water, The
Reeve answered that a committee of
