The merchants of the town ,had
their Mores gaily decorated for fair
day and many artistic displays were
shown. The, tviudows of Mr. J. A.
Stewart were specially fine. • The
south window, full of rare ohina, was
the centre of much attraction and
much credit is duo Orville 8outh-
colt. who superintended the job of
arranging the display, although the
feels that the young lad:cs of the
stort3 who offered suggestions are
entitled to their Fhare.
The stores of Jones & Clark. Snell
& Rowe, Carling Bros. and the dif-
ferent hardware and jewelry stores t
1i:id splendid displays of ;their t,00r4H.
The drug store displays were also
fine. Mr. Ed. Willis had rt L'e %vindow
of his tonsorial parlors filled with
stuffed rare birds •and tinily.
Those %v}►'soh attracted considerable
.attention were til British. Tuffin,
only seen on the Atlantic Ocear sand
a turkey buzzard. never seen alive
North of the Mason and Dixie Line.
Besides t hese there were the En•;,-
lish pheasant, pra4 -je ;%%ojf, coon
raccoon, otter, groundhog etc.
