An Old Resident,
The following sketch of Mr. M.
Eacrett, a former (resident may
prove interesting to many readers of
the Times and especially to his old
townsmen. a number of whom tie
visited on May 9.4t1i last.
Mr. Eacrett was born in Queen's
Co. Ireland. August 12th. 1837 being
the fourth child of n family of eight
children. lie, upon, with his parents
brothers ►hnd sister, emigrated from
Ireland to this Country when he was
but a young 18(1. They settledd in
(lay township on the fawn where his
brother 'Christopher :now resides.
Soon after this he went to London

time before going to Pittsburg to
finish this apprenticeship ns painter.
