Snell of $95.60 for electric lighting for November waa the zooms o! considerable discus- sion. The contract with Mr. Beall was laid on the table and the entire Council board set to work figuring out how much Mr. Snell bad wee ceived this year. It was ascertained that up to Nov. tat he had been paid $986.38. The contract calla tar 260 nights for which he is paid for 11 arc lights at the rate of 81 cents each per night and 58 incandescent lights at $18.90 per year each, be- side' the lighting of tbe Town hall at about $45.00 a year. Mr. Snell explained that he had ¢nada every effort to get his new dynamo„ and that one has arrived, but is not in working order. Ile explained that ho had 22 incandescent lamps on Main street instead of the 11 ;era lamps, but the Council reduced his bill to $90.00 for the month. A communication from John A.
