The County Board of Examiners

The regular meeting of the council
was held in the Town Hall Monday
and after the general order of busi-
ness adjourned.

ing for $2300 for salary expenaee.

Before the close of the meeting the
Reeve brought up the question of a
public subscription being raised for
the purpose of erecting a dam where
one formerly stood a short distance
west of the main street bridge. The
intention would be to have boating,
swimming. etc., for the benefit of the
townspeople.
The question of water rates to the
factories lin town was again dug up
and carne in for some discussion. east
spring the coancil ordered the factor-
ies to install meters. or be penalized
by having their water supply cut off.
Some have not complied with the or-
der and the Street Commissioner was
rsquested to interview the firms again
