Although the elections are over
and the ratepayers by their votes de-
cided to elect the old sobool trustees,
it has been current •gossip that steps
are being taken to diequal,i•ty two of
the trustees elect. for a violation of
the law with respect to treating. Lt
is alleged, as near :18 we can learn
that two of the candidates on stet -
tion day went into the Temperance
house at the north end of the town
and treated several who were in the
place to ginger ale. It is expected
that papers will be filed at an early
date, and that the trustees whose

nection will make a stubborn fight.

The second lackey match of the
seances sus played at Hensall Tues-
day night between the London and
Hensall teams. resulting in favor of
the :former by n score o4 7 to '2, The
first half was the most exciting and
at the call of the whistle for half
time the score stood 3 to 2 in favor

the home team failed to tet the puck
into the net while the London boys
reaohed the coveted goal 'four times
The Londoners showed more train-

suite successfully. wt6lc the Heneall
ladj were 'somewhat deficient in that
respect. Sandy liawden and Glen

their excellent work, as does Ho -
