And further take notice that the
Council of the said Alunicipality has
secured from James North Howard,
an option for the purchase of his
property, upon the Aux Sable River
in the said Municipality, known as the
old Mill Pond and adjoining premises,
containing by admeasurement about
fifteen acres, with water privileges in
connection therewith, for the sum of
$2500.00. The said Council have also
an estimate of cost for construction of
a new concrete dam, on the site of the
old one upon the said ppremises,
amounting to $3000.(X). If the ahove
Byelaw receivea the sanctiontion
of rate-
payers,
the Council will consider the
advisability of acquiring the above
property and construction of the said
dam for the purposes of the proposed
system ut electric lighting and for
other purposes of the Alunicipality.

Fire completely destroyed the hig
Watson box factory, situated opposite
the M. C. R. depot on Bathurst Street
London Friday night. The entire
contents, comprising some of the most
valuable raachinery, is a mass of ruins
