could possibly confruut t, free peo-
ple. A party &las been en power for
upwards of thirty years without in-
terruption, clad its desire for a fur-
ther lease of life scents to border on
n passion. For several years the
most serious char;es 1tav: been
brought against the administration
of provincial affairs. and if official
judgments have not always been se-
cured in support of these charges
the mature of the evidence has been
perfectly conclusive to the lay n►ind
that all has not been right.
Let us recoil a few instances. The
member -elect dor South Oxford is
to bo unseated at all costs. A math
enters into negotiations with friends
of the member -elect to secure evi-
dence "true or false, it matters not"
as the cynically declares. A bind of
criminals is lined up in court to sup
port the charges preferred, but the
attempts failed. The judge upon the
bench declares the conspiracy to
be
ono of the most disgraceful in his-
tory. The mon responsible for this
perfidy is •a government a Sent in
England 10 -day.
Again. a charge is made •against
Government supporters that the will
of a free people is being thwarted by
the use of ballot boxes specially con-
structed for the purpose. The charge
is, of course denied with vehement
indignation. In a few days, how-
ever the most marvelous revelations
are made. Amon; other things,
those implicated state that these
boxes were sent to tho bottom of a
certain lake. and n search party goes
straight 10 the spot and finds the
incriminating articles. There are
tho very instruments of crime before
our eyes.
These are samples of the methods
that are found to prevail in the old
province of Ontario; a province oc-
cupied in the early days by :gallant
United Empire Loyalists, a pro-
vince of churches and schools. a pro-
vince of much vaunted material and
intellectual progress. It is surely a
time for Jaen to da some ser-
ious 'thinking.
That a spectacle to find men wino
have Leen in the scats of authority,

had the appointment of every pro-

FEED TD FATTEN
Steers are bought, raised, and fattened to make money ; so just a few
words 3.1t0 how this profit can to made and, in many instances, Increasers.
The increase in weight in steers, is due to the amount of foal that is
digested and assimilated, and tke greater the amount digested and assimi-
lated, the greater the increase in weight. In close confinement the feed-
ing ration lacks the variety of the open field, therefore, the food must
have the " salt, peppert'andfgrasT, . added ; this is Clydesdale Stock
Food. Itsstands to reason, that`like a human being, if the food is made
more palatable by the addition of the "salt, pepper and gravy " it will
eat more of the thing it likes because " it makes tate mouth water."
This is "wise feeding:' 2anrther/nore, it will do them more good
because it not only helps to digest the food, but after it is digested, it

helps the blood to take upp opo
Ls where the profit comes in by putting on extra weight, giving them 3
trice, fat, smooth finish that brings top market price. The feeding period
can be shortened thirty day4 at least ; this is money saved. The increase
over and above the ordinary feeding increaa(e i•, easily ( of a lb and over
per flay-. You can stop feeding Clydesdale Stock I'o(xt at any time with •
out injurious effects. If you find you cannot feed Clydesdale Stock
Focal at a profit your money will be cheerfully refunded by the dealer
