evening of Monday, January 16th,
the occasion being their crystal
wreddin;, the fifteenth anniversary
of their marriage. Between forty
and fifty of their friends and neigh-
bors were invited to spend the even -

the guests began to arrive, and were
received at the door by little Misses
Maggie Shier rind Nellie Hazlewood,
daughter anti niece of the bride and
zroom. Congrat uletions were • tend-
ered the happy couple, after which
all partook of the. bounteous repast
prepared for the cceassion. Tho
tables were decorated with pink and
white chrysanthenums and roses.
After all had done justice, to the
good filings provided, the remainder
of the evening was spent in vocal
and iuStrumental music, games and
social conversation. A number of
very be-tutiful gifts bore testimony
to tho high esteem in which Mr. and
Mrs. Shier are held. All went Lorne
feeling that they had spent
a very
enjoyable evenin,c and wishing the
host and hostess many happy returns
of their wedding day.
