Drake, near here, was tried before His Honor, Judge Barron, at Stratford on Monday for the alleged theft of some cattle. The case was a mixed op affair and showed that a mistake had been made. Drake was found guilty of having stolen pro- perty in his possession. but sentence was suspended. The defendant stated that he had lost some cattle last sum- mer and thought that the cattle in his possession were the missing ones.
