Dtsu.--One by one our old residents
are fast passing away and soon there
will be no one left to relate the hatd-
shil,s of pioneer days. A well known
resident of this place, in the person of
Robert Webb, joined the great army
beyond on Saturday, at the good old
age of EU years. He was declining in
health for some time and a few weeks
previous to his death took a turn for
the worse. It wits soon apparent the
end was approaching. Medical aid
could only'alley iate, but could not at sit
the stroke. When a mere lad Mr.
Webb left his native home in England
and emigrated to this country. In 1852
he accepted a position as head miller
with Rance Bros., Clinton, where he
remained four years. He then moved
to Fi tIICCstotwn, and later bought a
farm near here where he has since re-
sided. As it fanner- he had few equals.
lie was a man pronounced in all his
views, of a most happy :and genial
mower, 1 pleasing companion, a faith-
ful friend, a loving husband, an in-
dulgent parent, a guotl practical ('lm•is-
tian and a good law abiding citizen.
Ile leaves besides his six sons and two
daughters it host of friends. The fun-
eral took place on Monday to the
Statin cemetery.

Why Tea Quality Varies
YOU know how the quality of strawberries from the
salve patch will sometimes vary from one day to
another.
One day sweet, compact, well ripened, well colored,
richly flavored—next day it rains, is cloudy,—following
picking is soggy, sour, green, coarsely -flavored, poor.
Tea, also, on account of its volatility of flavor, after
picking and during the curing process is very susceptible
to weather changes. A few hours of sunshine or bad
weather after picking may make the difference between
good and poor tea.
So that while one picking may be first class, the next
from the same garden rnav be very poor.
I select only the pickings which come up to the Iced
Rose standards of richness and strength in Indian, and
delicacy and fragrance in Ceylon teas, and thus that
"rich, fruity flavor" of Red Ro.e Tea is produced and
maintained.
