Death of Will Willis.
Sad, indeed, was the news of the
death of Will Willis, son of the late
James Willis, which news arrived here
Friday last, the death having taken
place on board a C. P. R. train while
the young man was returning to his
old house here. Deceased had been
for about three years a resident of
Springside, Assa., with his mother
and brother, Frank, and had been in
his usual health until his return there
last winter from a visit to his old home
het e. He then became ill of pneumon-
ia and pleurisy which developed into
the "dread disease" from which he
never rallied, gradually sinking until
the end was near, when the decline
became more rapid and the end came
sooner than expected. Having a de-
sire to once more see his native town,
he and his mother started for the
east, hut the end came when abroad
the C. P. R. train near Huntsville,
Muskoka. The remains were taken
to Toronto and there made ready for
burial and were then brought to Exe-
ter and conveyed to the residence of
Mr. T. H. McCallum, from where the
funeral took place to the Exeter ceme-
tery on Sunday at 2 p. m. Deceased
was hut twenty-two years of age, and
was a general favorite of the young
people of town, all of whom regret
exceedingly his early demise. Gener-
al sympathy is felt for the mother
and two brothers. George, of London,
and Frank, of Springside, and other
sorrowing ones.
