A very pretty !wedding was solem-
nized at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
John Fabner on Wednesclay, Dec. 1st.
when their eldest daughter. Miss
Laving. became the bride of Mr. Wil-
liam If. Matz, a prosperous young
lumberman of Khiva. The ceremony
was perforated by Itev. Mr. Bean
promptly at the hour of one -thirty

Itatz. sister of the groom, the bridal
party entered the parlor where a
beautiful arch ,of evergreens was
erected and decorated with .white
bunting and pink and white carna-
tions. The bride looked stately and
lovely gowned in white silk trimmed
with valenciennes insertion and wore
the bridal veil of silk inulline with
orange blossoms. She carried a bou-
quet of white chrysanthemums. The
groom was supported by his brother.
Milton. of Shipka, and the bridesmaid
Miss Louise, sister of the bride %vas
beautiguliy gowned in ,pink mullc
trimmed with net and satin ribbon to
match and carrying a bouquet of pink
roses. The ceremony and congratula-
tion being over, all repaired to the
dining room which was beautifully
decorated with bunting and bells and
where n sumptuous and ,appetizing
feast was partaken of . The guests
numbered about one hundred. The
groom's gift to the bride was a
beautiful fur -lined coat. and to the
bridesmaid

thysts and pearls. to the groomsman
gold cuff links and to the organist a
brooch set with pearls. The estima-
tion in which the young couple were
held was shown by the many useful
and costly presents given to them.
Among them 'ivas 5100.00 check from
the groom's parents. and a beautiful
set of silver knives and forks from the
bride's parents. Amid showers of con-
fetti and rice they left for Centralia
where they took the train for Detroit,
Ilotvell. Mich.. and New Hamburg,
where they will spend their honey-
moon. The bride's going away gown
was of w•istena mirror finish cloth
with hat to snatch. On their return
they will reside near Khiva. The best
wishes necompany them. and may
'their future be -one of happiness and
prosperity.
