this method the flies have died under

-- ease organisms, a fluid also which is
inoffensive and for practical purposes
non-poisonous. The method at once
provides a means of diminishing the
scourge and of securing to some ex-
tent what is most desirable, the dis-
infection of the slain.
Local
The local use spaper should be found
in every home. No child will grow
up ignorant w ho can be taught to ap-
preciate the homy paper. It is the
about any person, place, or thing
which they ever saw or perbps ever
heard of, and can you expect them
to be interested! But let them have
a good home paper like the TIMES
and read of persons whom they meet,
and places with which they are fami-
liar, and soon an interest is awaken=
ed which increases with every arrival
of the local paper. Thus a habit of
reading is formed, and those children
will read the papers all their lives
and become intelligent men and wo-
men, a credit to their ancestors and
strong in the knowledge of the
world as it is to -day.
Two t inks of Exeter bowlers went
to ,Dashwood Monday and played a
fele friendly games with the kitty
touchers of that village. In the
afternoon the games resulted in
favor of Dashwood, but in the evening
the visitors more than evened up the
score, winning by a good margin on
the day's playing. The local play-
ers are high in their praises of the
treatment accorded them by the
Dashwood club.
