Ips stated that the ingredients can
be obtained from any good prescrip-

harmless to take.
This pleasant mixture, if taken reg-

come almost any case of 'Rheumatism.
The pain and swelling. if any, dimin-

injuring the stomach. While there
are many so-called 'Rheumatism re-

of which do give relief, few really
give permanent results, and the above
will. no doubt, be greatly appreciated
by many sufferers here at this time.
Inquiry at the drug stores of this

that these drugs are harmless and
can be bought separately, or the

Death of Wm. Gunning -One by
otte the aged pioneers of this section
are rapidly passing away and leaving
as a proof of their ardent toil, the tine
farms and magnificent residences.
This week it is our sad duty to record
the death of our aged friend and lov-
ing neighbor In the person of Mr.
Win. Gunning, who passed Peacefully
away to be forever with his Lord, on
Sunday night March 7th. The deceas-
ed had been confined to his bed only
11 days and up to the time of his sick-
ness was in perfect health. Mr. Gun-
ning was born on October 23, IWO in
Somersetshire Eng. On April 1st,
181:3, at the age of 22 he married a
lady in England, who lived but a short
time after their arrival in Canada and
died at Toronto. He returned to Eng-
land and on Jan. 27, 181(1 became un-
ited in marriage to Miss Sarah Savior,
who has proven to be a loving help-
mate and an affectionate mother and
who with the family mourn the loss
of a devoted husband and kind father.
On their arrival in Canada they took
up their abode at Chippewa and lived
there for a time. Deceased was em-
ployed at shipbuilding, but having a
desire for fanning he and his wife fin-
ally settled on the farm which has
been their hone for over sixty years,
Their early life on the farm was
marked with many the hardships and
struggles which were connected with
pioneer life, hut Mr. and Mrs. Gunn-
ing, being of true British stock and
possessing undaunted courage, brav-
the difficulties together and succeed-
ec in acouiring a large amount of pro-
perty and wealth. To their happy
union was born 11 children, 0 of
whom survive, Samuel, Arthur and
Albert. all of Blanshard, Eliza, Mrs.
John Parkinson; Emily, Mrs. James
Hera; Louisa, Mrs. George Squires;
Marx Mrs. Geo. Millson; Alice, Mrs.
David Parkinson; and Lucy at home,
Mr. (innning was in his 89th year and
his bereaved and aged widow is in her
85th year. On Jan, 27th, 181)6, Mr.
and Mrs. Gunning celebrated their
golden wedding and in 11)J0 they en-
joyed the pleasure of having their
children and grandchildren home at
their diamond wedding. Besides the
family there are 40 grandchildren and
and 15 grat grandchildren. The fun-
eral took place on Tuesday and was
conducted by Rev. Fair, the remains
being followed to the Zion cemetery
by a large concourse of sorrowing re-
latives and friends. There were in
the procession a number of carriages
with friends from a distance. One
notable incident in connection with
this funeral is that it is the first that
has occurred in the family, although
the deceased has lived on the farm
for 62 years.
Gone is the sunny face, the genial
smile.
Hushed is the father's voice.
The voice which echoing loving words
Made many hearts rejoice.
The leaf has fallen. crimson tinged

Death, for the days of fruitage now
are ended.
Life, for it speaks of precious garn-
ered store ;
The yellow leaf is but the faint re-
flection.

We mourn him now, as husband,
friend and father.

What if our tears and sighs mingle
together,

"After taking several remedies and

Mr. Harron himself is most emphatic
as to the beneficial result of using PSY-
