The Steady Growth of Female Em-
ployment Goes On.
Some interesting statistics are
published about the growth in the
employment of women in Germany.
F►om 1895 to 1907, twelve years,
while the employment of men de -
crewed 20 per cent. the number of
women employed increased 57 per
cent. There were 8,030.000 women
employed in the latter year, as
against 5.000,000 in the former,

agricultural pursuits, which em-
ployed 4,500,000 women in 1907, as
