chair. A number of appeals were heard
such as changing' of names. cutting off
of Bags, ere., were allowed. Appeals
ur It. G. linden and \Won. Harding re.
bustrtess assessment were not allowed.
R. Gillies saw•rnill assessment was re-
duced to $300, and business assessment
eceordisegly. Manston !rouse assess-
ment reduced from $2:300 to $1600. A.
Bedford's assessment reduced to $4. n
Court adjourned to June 17th.
COUNCIL MEETING. -The council held
a meeting after the court of Revision.
Mr. L. H. Dickson on behalf of the
Canning Company addressed the council
re. extension of the waterworks along
We!Ihtgtoa street to the railway. A cont
,titter of the council has the matter un-
der consideration. Regarding the sale of
the Evaporator property the following re
solution was passed, -
"That the council accede to the re-
uent of the estate of W. A. ,Gibb ,(lu.
that they b3 relieved et and released
from any and all liability, indebtedness,
penalty, forfeiture sand obligation, that
they may have incurred or for which
they may b3 liable owing to their failure
!rt part to comply with the terms, of the
agreement with the corporation of the
Village of Exeter, which agreement is
dated the 10th day of March. 1908, and
with the pro+tsIons of th, by-law passel
in pursuance of the said agreement. But
the said relief and release shall only
extend to the period which has elapsed
prior to this date. or for such further
term as thls council shall sanction, not
lo -Hever later than the let of October,
1910; And furthermore that such relief
and release is granted upon the express
condition that the said company, their
estate, their purchasers or as,etgns
shall not later than the said let day of
October. 1910, erect upon the land of
the said company to Exeter a ware-
house to cost not less than $1000, hay

storeys; A;id shall also o;t or before
the said last mentioned date have In-

BOARD OF IIEALTII MEETING. -A
meeting of the Local Board of ilealthl
was held Monday night. Discussions
were entered into regarding proper
quarantine for Infectious diseases. No
ewe rules were enacted. The old rule
will be enforced -No member of the
home allowed to go In and • out of any
goose quarantined.
McOILLIWRAY
St. Marys Church at Brinsley was
beautifully decorated on Wednesday of
lest week In honor of the ,wedding which
Reek place this being the first public
ceremony of this nature In the chinch
since the opening of the new edifice.
The contracting parties were Miss Mac
Stell, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Sceli and Mr. Andrew Erskine,
bolt' of whom are web and favorably
known here. Miss Mary Prest presided
at the organ. The officiating clergy-
men were Rev. L. W. Diehl of Paisley
and Rev. J. A. Bloodsworth, Incumbent.
The bride was attended by her sister,
Mies Lena Seel' and Miss Belle Erskine
slater of the groom. The groom was
supported by Mr. T. Glendinning. At
the close of the ceremony the bridal
party and guests repaired to the house
of the bride's parents, where the wedd-
ing repast was served. Mr. and Mrs.
Erskine took the afternoon train for
Cobalt and other points where they will
spend their honey -moon. The heartiest
congratulations and well wishes are
theirs.

of a fashionable house -wedding on
Tuesday. June 7111, at 2 o'clock, when
their eldest daughter, Ina Palmer. be
canto the bride of Waiter Herbert Greg-
ory, barrister of that city. Rev. G. F'.
idles, B. A.; Ph, D. of the Central
Methodist ehurrh, Stratford, performed
the ceremony which was witnessed by
only the immediate relatives of the two
[snipes. The spacious drawing -rooms
were artistically decorated with palms,
terns and pink and white carnations.

by her father, locked especially charm-
tng In her wedding gown of white Lib-
erty satin en train -a handsome creation
adorned with Priticese lace, seed pearls.
Iced bridal veil caught with pearls and
titles of the valley. She carried a show-
er of brtdal roses and Mies of the val-
ley with long streamers. Mendels-
80 10 s wedding march was played by
her sister, Mise Vera, who also play -
el softly throughout the ceremony and
tendered the bridal music during con-
gratulations and the singing of the reg-
ister. A dainty dejeuner was served and
the toast to the bride proposed by Dr.

responded to by the groom. Amid a
shower of white snow -hall eretals, Mr.
and Mre. Gregory left 011 the 4.30
