Death -Death nits again removed a
promising young ratan formerly of Zur-
ich, in the person of Alfred E. Faust.
eldest Bon of Mr, D. S. Faust, at Lew-
iaton. Idaho, or, April 21st. as the re-
sult of an operation. He left here 13
years ago for the gold fields of Alaska
where he rained for some time and
then settled Washington State,whore
he remained for six years. Ile return-
ed to Ills home 1n Zurich on the 29th
of June, 1904, remaining for one year
On June 28th, 1905, he left his home
for the last time, and after travelling
all through the states of Washington
and Oregon, he finally located at Lew-
inton. Idaho. Ile leaves, besides his
Young widow In Lewiston: his father
Mr. D. S. Faust, and one brother, Mr.
Samuel E. Faust, both of Zurich, two
'later,, Mrs. Win. Finkbeitter of Mil-
i.irton and Mrs. Win. Roffman of this
town, and a host of parsoaat friend's
who deeply mourn his loss.

that on.-Frlday Mr. McCtoy was work-

he seriously ruptured himself. The phy-

an operation was deemed necessary, but
was not successful, and he passed away

local paper the following Item appear-
ed referring to Whitechurch a little
village on the boundary between Huron
and Bruce Counties, six miles front this

of Mrs. Moore's residence with bullets,
several of which passed over her shoul-

HII31'ERT.-The death occurred in 1111
rhell on April 26th of Alexander Lin-
ton. In his 90tn year. Deceased was
a resident of this township from 1849
to 1900, when he and cls faintly, mir-
ed to Mitchell. Six sons and three
daughters aid seventy-five grandchild
ren and get 11 itra;td children survive.
STAFFA.-Deep regret was felt in our
community when It was announced that
another of our old pioneers. in the per-
s,rn of Mr. Robert Livingstone had de-
pirted this life on April 23rd. Deceas-
ed had been in declining health but a
few weeks, heart failure being the
sus^ of his death. Besides a stricken
wife he leaves to mourn his loss two
daughter', Mrs. D. 11. McDougall. Do -
barn, Sask.. Mrs. T. H. McCurdy. and
os^ son. John. Staffa. i)eceased was
in his 79th year. interment took piaci
on Tuesday. the 26th. in Staffa ceme-
tery, Rev. Doherty of Herman conduct-
ing the service. The late Mr. Living-
stone believed Honesty and uprightness
h' the best policy. He was a don-
sir.ent member of the English churr0.

IIIBBEIIT-Mr. John Pinder lost two
cattle lately, and he tears that hydro-
phobia was the cause of their death.
They acted very strangely and suffered
terribly. The first to show signs of
trouble was attended by a veterinary,
who said there was no evidence of rab-
ies. Not being satisfied with itis Wag -
posits of the case. he secured Dr. Mur-
ray of Dublin for the second animal
and he gave as his opinion that the
beast dled front rabies, and the head
was sent to Ottawa to be analyzed, and
a report thereon is expected daily. Mr.
Plttger thinks they may have been bit-
ten by Ills own dog, which acted sus-
piclously and was shot some months
ago.
CLINTON-On Tuesday afternoon. Ap-
i ell 26, a quiet wedding took place at
the residence of Mr. and Mrs. D. A.
Forrester, when their daughter. Amnio
Aguas. was united in marriage to Mr.
G. D. C'ttdley of Owen Sound. Mr. and
Xtra. (Ridley left on three trait for
New York and the Southern State', the
bride travelling in a dress of Cbpen-
hagen blue and blue hat. On their re-
turn they will reside In Owen Sound.
