BERNHARDT—MAASS.—A quiet but
pretty wedding was solemnized in St.
Peter's Lutheran church on Saturday,
Nov. 27, at high noon, when Mies Vic-
toria A., only daughter of Rev. and
Mrs. C. 0. J. Maass. was united in mar-
riage of Mr. I. A. Bernhardt, of Pres-
ton. The ceremony was performed by
Rev. Klach, of Stratford in the pres-
ence of the immediate relatives. The
wedding march of Lohengrin was play-
ed by Miss Ida Sipple, while Miss
Adelia Victor and Oscar Bernhardt at-
tended the happy couple, After the
dejeuner Mr. and Mrs. Bernhardt left
for Chicago to spend the honeymoon,
from there they will return to Preston
to reside.

away at the family residence, Con. 4, l's
borne, on Friday, Dec. 3rd, V1lliant Ja-

was a man of very retiring disposition
but always proved himself a good neigh
