The contracts covering the waterworks
installation for the Town of Exeter have
been awarded as follows ; Engine and
pumps, to the c .radian Fairbanks Com-

took place at the Moms of Mr. and%Mrs.

on Wednesday evening. Oct. 20, when
their second daughter, miss Mary C„
was united in marriage to Mr. ,Robert
E. Hazlewood, a prosperous young far-
mer of IiIanshard, at ate o'clock, to the

',iazlewood, sister of the brlde, the
bridegroom entered the parlor, follow-
ed by the bride leaning on the arm of
father. The happy couple, unattended.
were united in the sacred bounds of
ntatrlutouy by Rev. Byron Saell of Kirk -
ton, In the presence of about fifty of
their most intimatef friends. The M-lde
was becomingly attired in a gown of
navy blue silk. While congratulations
were being extended to the newly .wed -
dei couple \Vymaa's brilliant 'Wedding
Bella Starch" was rendered, after whl.h
all repaired to the dining room wheh
was tastefully decorated for the occas-
ion. the prevalling colors being red and
white. When all had partaken heartily
of the wedding supper the remainder of
the evening was pleasantly spent lt.
games and conversation. The bride's
going -away costume was of navy blue
:satin cloth, with hat and coat to ntatc!i
and Alaska sable fur. A number of
beautiful and useful presents were re-
ceived by the bride and groom, showing
the ttlgh esteem 1n which they are held
by . their friends. The groom's gift to
the bride was a gold locket and chain.
Mr. and Mrs. iiazelwood will reside at
Iluzeldean" farm, the home of the
g.00rn on the 4th conceasloa of Dian -
shard, where the many friends wish
them a happy journey throuih life.

the petition. -The apple crop this year
is excellent. Fat art' at a loss to
know what to do with the fruit. Bar-
rels are scarce and as a result a large
quantity will he spoiled.
WKDDKD.-The Bend Boys drove to
Dashwood on Wednesday night to at-
tend the wedding of a former member
of the organization, in the person of
Tom Klumpp to Miss Ehlers.. In spite
of the fact that they haven't played
for Many moons, the music they rend-
ered was very good. We join in ex-
tending to Mr. Klumpp and bride our
hearty wiebes for a long and happy
married life,
