Thomas Fulton were brought here from
Ant, Harbor, Mich., were he had gone
to be operated on for a cataract and
died while undergoing the operation. Ile
will be remembered by many older set-
tlers as Mr. Fulton at one time owned
a saw still here. He had reached the.
age of 77 years and was a brother o1
Mrs. Wm. Turnbull. fruin wht)se res-
idence the funeral was held Sunday, the
rimming being laid to rest at Grand
Bend cemetery. He leaves to mourn
his demise his wife and two sons.
McGILLIVRAY.
Henry O'Neil of this township ap-
peared before Squire E. 13. Smith of
Ailsa Craig at that place on Thursday
and pleaded guilty to a charge of per -
Jury. Be was sentenced to 30 days
hard labor. The charge grew out of a
former case, where O'Neil, while ,el-
der oath in an examination lit a case
regarding a breach ot the liquor lic-
ense act, swore that on the occasion
in question he had no liquor in his pos-
session, nor had indulged in any liqupr
since August last. These statements
were found to sae false and O'Neil was
c.)usequently arrested for perjury.

oped signs of being mad on Thursday
