daughter, alias Victoria. to Air. Thomas
Ferguson of llibbert Township. The
ceremony took place In the presence of
over one hundred invited guests, and
was performed by Rev. McL. Smith of
Ileiaall. After the ceremony and
congratulations had been extended all
enjoyed a sumptuous repast. The eve-
ning was spent by the company in a'

eph's Hospital. London. She leaves,

Council met Sept. 4. All the members
were present. The minutes of the last
meeting were red, approved and signe'1
by the nerve. The following rates were
levied to meet expenditures for the ;ur-
rent year: -County rate 1.8 mills on
the dollar ; Tow;lship rate 2.2; Cenral
School rate 1.2, all the same as last
year. The amounta required by the
Trustees of the several school sections
over and above the general rate, to be
lasted by special rate and colleeted with
the other rates. Dy -law No. 7, auth-
orizing the levying of above rates was
p.t,sevl. signed and sealed. Dy -law No.
9. amending No. 5, 1908 -the Ander-
.,on Drain By -law -providing for the re-
funding to the ratepayers on said drain
the surplus to the credit of the And)r-
son drain account, pro rata, according
to revised assessments, by deducting
from till, year's taxes, was passed

strengthen the Hunter llridge, and

this town celebrated his 100th birthday
on Labor bay. Mr. Darwin was born In
the Parish of Sefton. Lancashire, Eng-
land. on Sept. 6th, 1809. He canto to
Canada in 1889, and with the exception
of about six mouths has been a resi-
dent ot Seatorn' ever since.

record the death of Harvey Davis, eld-
est son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Davis,
which took plat, on Friday aftentoon
last. Harvey was a native of this town
and of a quiet, unohstruslve nature, very
popular with Ida associates and out
citizens generally. For some years he
was engaged Ire the livery business. Iie
had been confined to bed for a month,
but It was only during the last few
days of Ills illness that 1t became that
