I)UNCAN MrKAY DEAD. -After an 111 Tress of only a few hours the ' death oncurred Saturday evening about 7.30 in Exaer North of Duncan McKay, one of the pioneer residents of the district, at the age of 72 years, 3 months. Mr. McKay had for many years been an employe in the foyndry here and on Saturday morning he went to his work as usual, but after working an 'blur complained ,of being 111 and went to his home, where after a few hours he pas- sed away, death being due to heart trouble. Born in Golsple• North Scot- land, he came to Canada 53 years ago, settling firat in Woodstock, where he remained one year, then coming to Ex- eter where he has since resided. Of an Industrious, quiet and honorable dis- position he was generally respected aid esteemed, and was an elder In the Presbyterian church. Ills wife, Agnes Jeffery, died in February last.
