The death occurred in Ingersoll on
Sunday of Maria Seldon, wife of Mr.
Thomas Seldom, uncle of Mr. R. G. Sel-
don of Exeter, and well-known here. De-
ceased was stricken with heart failure.

place on Tuesday.
Mr. W. D. Sanders met with a very
unpleasant accident on Friday last wile,driving a number of his cattle frun

word on Tuesday to report at London
branch immediately. He left for Lon -
do., the following morning. During his
sojourn here Mr. Fleming has become a
general favorite and his departure is
much regretted. In sporting circles par-
ticularly will he be nuc't oilseed, as ho
is a clean true •portsman and always
ready fon a good game of any kind.

of jam purchased from a grocery store.

day meal. and shortly afterwards Mr.
Redden, his wife ac:d titres children,

heroine worse and Dr. Weekes was sum-
moned. .titer considerable time they
were relieved. but Mr. 'Redden was un-
able to go to work. Mrs Redden was
very tit and Is still confined to her
room. The children soon recovered, and
were not so seriously affected as their
parents. Samples of the jam are being
analyzed in order to discover what was
the cause of the illness.
