Death of Mies Flunter.-After a long
and tedious illness death put an end to
the sufferings of Miss Grace Ann Hun-
ter on Saturday at the age of 50 years,
8 months and 17 days. r For several
months the deceased had been the victim
of Intense suffering, and death to her
must have been a happy release, when
it was certain that she could no longer
take part In life's battles and enjoyments
Pneumonia was the immediate cause of
death. Tne deceased was born in Col-
borne, being a daughter ot the late John
Hunter, and was respected and esteem-
ed by a large circle of friends. She Is
survived by two brothers and three sis-
ters, Samuel of Colborne, Richard of Ex-
eter, Mrs. Robert Robinson, Winchelsea;
;,Slee Nancy at dome, and Mrs, Samuel
Brock of Usborne. The funeral took
place to the Exeter cemetery on Monday
and was largely attended.

Kathleen Robb, our popular school teach-
er. whose term expired at Easter, has
decided to stay until the midsummer, -On
Tuesday evening of last week the K.O.
T.M. gave an enjoyable Taffy Pull. The
hall was filled to overflowing and an
excellent program was given. The chair
was pleasingly filled by Mr. Mathew
Doupt. Quartettes, solos and reettatcons
made up the program. together with the
speeches from the chairman and Rev.
Veale. The taffy feed was an enjoyable
part of the program as well.
Death,-Annte Malloy, the wife of Mr.
James Stephens Of the 4th con. of Filen-
shard, died suddenly Prldey night, and
was burled at the Kirkton Presbyterian
cemetery on Mo':dty, a large number tte-
Ing present. She had been married only
a few years and the blow to the husband
arid one son 1. a severe one. Shc had
always taken a great Interest in church
wo-k and was a member of the choir and
highly esteemed by a11.
Death of Mrs. Balfour. -Ott Monday.
April 5th. the death occurred of perhaps
the oldest resident of this section in the
pereon of Mrs James Balfour, aged 90
years and over. Deceased had been IIi

In the Town Hall on Monday. The Town-
ship Engineer's report for the concrete
abutments of the new bridge across the
river was laid before the Board and
tenders are being asked for In the mean-
time for the construction thereof. The
bridge will have an Iron superstructure
and will be a modern one In every par-
ticular when completed. -Dr. Anderson,
M. 1'. P., who Is attending the Leglela-
tu. , :n Toronto, spent last Sunday with
his cousins, William and Wilson Ander-
son. -Albert Morlock, while in Toronto
last week, purchased a turning lathe and
will now be able to do all kinds of
machinist's work. This has been a long
felt want in this ncighborhood and since
Albert Is a first-class mechanic the pub.
