an address.

Death, -On Wednesday of last week Mr.
John McEachee, Sr., a't old pioneer in
this part of the country passed away
at 74 years o1 age. Ile wag a most es-
timatae man and beloved by all who knew
atm. Ile was born at Inverness, Scot-
land, and came to this country with hie
parents when 10 years of age. For a
while they resided in Brantford and in
Chatham. In 1854 he came to Stephen
township where he resided the rest of
his life. Ire is mourned by a family of
three sons and five daugrtcre. The sons
are all married and living In Stephen,
while two of the daughters are married
being :airs. E. Allen of Grand Bend and
Sirs, Webster of Detroit. The remaining
three daughter are all In Detroit.

ways took a deep interest In the work

Union Cemetery on Tuesday and was

The trustees of S. S. No. 12, Biddulptt
and No. 4, McGillivray, rave bought the
lot formerly owned by Mrs. Cunningham

Jones are objecting, alleging that a
school built on those premises would
decrease the value of their property

On this clause Dr. Jones bases hie legal
objection, Inspector Peter reompeon de-
cided against the trustees but they have
appealed to the minister of education to

suddenly Thursday morning, Mar. 25th.
Ile took sick during the night and died

mily are all grown up and most of them
