gregation for a liberal offering towards
paying off a debt, which has accurnul-
ted during the past few years and the

were sung by Mise Ilalet and Mies

East this year.—The C.P.R. Railroad
is again an important topic of discus-
sion in our burg. Councillor Wuerth
received a letter on Monday from the
Chief Engineer at Bt. Marys. stating
that they would like to interview the
people of Crediton and this Township
and arrangements are now being made
to have a public meeting in the near
future.

Mr. J. J. Merner of Zurich spent
Sunday in the village at the home of
hie brother George.—Mr. C. Beaver of
Crediton visited at the home of Dlr.
Charlie Beaver on Sunday. — Mr.
Charles Hartleib, Sr., is at present in
a very low condition and at his ad-
vanced age very little hopes are enter-
tained for his recovery.—Mr. August
Schroeder is at present in Michigan
attending tbe funeral of a relative.—
Wesley Geiser is at present at his
home here.
ODITUARY.—This week we are called
upon to relate the death of one of the
oldest residents of tins village, in the
person of Mrs. Daniel Sachs, who de-
parted this life on Thursday night last
et the age of eighty veers and sixteen
days. She has for many years been a
much respected resident of this vit.

there will be a grand family reunion

on Sundayafternoon was largely at-

she was held, the spacious Evangelical
Church being filled. The funeral ser-
vice was conducted by Rev. L. K.
Eidt, tbe pastor. interment being
made in the Goshen Line Cemetery.
