FARMERS' INSTITUTE MEETINGS
President W. D. Sanders and Secretary
II. S. Phillips of South Huron Farmers'
Institute returned Saturday from their
tour of the riding with the speakers at
the supplementary meetings, which were
held at Farquhar, Tuckersnith, Bay-
field. Grand Bend, and Itettsall. The
atiendancre were not as large as us-
ual, owing to varlous causes, inclement
weather and counter attractions being
particularly responsible.

at 8 p.m. at Senior's hall. W. A. Mason
will be the speaker at these meetings.

the Y.ef.C.A. and has had a wide exper-

On Tuesday evening the members of the
Ladles' Aid Society ot the Presbyterian
church gathered at the Manse to bid fare-
well and to honor one of their number.
Mrs. Rev. Martin. who for many years
has been ide ,tl'led as one of the most
energetic sand cnthus'asttc of their num-
ber, and wl,o is leav;ng shortly for her
new home i;! London, The object of
the gathering was seed made apparent

the front, and Mrs. Manson. secretary,
on behalf of the society, read an after
donate- and touching address, and also

cut -glass fruit bowl and a dozen smell

esteem in which she is held and the

the very highest respect and admiration

tinct loss, and which brings with it pro-
found regret. Thr presentation over all
settled down to a most pleasant time
socially.
