Municipal Elections
Tire municipal elections took place
on Monday. In Exeter the contest
was a so3newttl,t warm one, pat•ticnlar-
ly for the office of Reeve, toil the re-
sult was close, Mr. T. H. McCallum de-
feating Mr. Writ. Hamden by the nar-
row margin of 3 totes, 232 to 2.•..V. The
councillors elected were in nrderof the
number of votes polled: Wellington
Johns W. J. Carling. Chris Luker and
W. J. Heitman, For Trustees: ?leases
Samuel Marlin, F. Wood and T. B.
Car:ing were the successful ones. At
the close of the polls a number of the
ratepayers assembled at the Town Hall
where several of the succcdssful candi-
dates addressed those present, thank-
ing Orem for their support. That the

those gentleman with credit to them-
