Hinseliffe was home from Stratford for over Sunday. Miss M. F. Reynolds, of Galt, is this week visiting at her parental home. Mr. Thos. Hill, of London was calling on old friends in Wingham last week. Mr. Robert Osborne, of Port Elgin, is visiting friends in town for a few days. Mr. Robt. Armstrong, of Ayr, is spending a few weeks at Sault Ste, Marie. Reeve Mitchell'is in Goderich attend- ing the meeting of the Huron County Council. Mrs. Chas. Donaldson visited for a few days last week with her parents in Lucknow. Mr. Jas. Baird has returned home at - ter spending several weeks at Stras- burg, Sask. Mrs. Woodward, of Oshawa, is this week visiting with her son, Mr. Chas. Woodward. Mr. Thos. Fixter has returned home after spending the past few months in the West. Mr. and Mrs. John Kerr, of London, are visiting with relatives and friends in Wingham. Lieut. Lodge, of London, was the guest of his sister, Mrs. E. G. Dymond for over Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Elmore Mahood have returned home after spending the sum- mer in Kincardine. Miss Mae McMurcby, Ripley, is among those commencing this week at the Business College. Miss'Mary and Mr. Henry Caezar, of Langside spent Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. A. 3. Armstrong. Miss Annie Findlater is away on a two weeks' visit with relatives and friends in Paris, Galt and Ayr. Mr. and Mrs. Carr, of Blyth, visited for a few days the past week, with the latter's son, Mr. A. H, Wilford, Mr. and Mrs. ,Sohn Casemore, of Manito, Sask., is this week visiting friends in Wingham and vicinity. Mr. John Bush, of Turnberry is visit- ing friends in Brantford and also at- tended the Winter Fair at Guelph. Miss Mulvey, of Wingham, visited Miss Rands, of the Model school staff, over the week -end. --- Clinton News - Record. Mr. Gordon Whitfield, Brussels, has recently arrived in town to cornpiete his commercial studies at the Business College Mr. David Calvert, of Kendersley, Sask., is at present visiting friends in town and will spend the winter in Ontario. Messrs T. Fixter and D. Mann re-, turned home last week from the West, where they have been employed for the past Six months. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Henderson are this week visiting friends in Guelph, while there Mr. Henderson will attend the Fat Stock Show, • Mr. Geo. Ansley, of Winnipeg and Mr. Wesley Ansley, of Regina, who were attending the funeral of their father, left on Thursday for their homes in the Nest. Miss Fessant of Wingham and her brother Mr. John Fessant of Buffalo, spent the week -end visiting friends end relatives in town.-Teeswater News. Mr. and Mrs. John Reid have return- ed home after several weeks' visit at Meringo, Sask. They were accompan- ied home by their daughter, Mrs. Tis- dale, who will spend a few weeks hers, Mr. A. F. Bailey, who has been local agent for the Prudential Life Incur- ance Co. has been transferred to Inger- soll and left for that town this week. Mr. Bailey has made a large circle of friends here who will wish him every success in his new home. Mr. C. 3. (Ted) Britton, who has been employed at Elliott's brick yard, Belmore for the past five years, left on Thurs- day last on a visitto England. Ted has proved himself a gentleman in every way and his many friends in Wingham wish him a safe return to the land of his adoption. A SUCCESSFUL SCHOOL.
