Gentlemen,—On the 22nd of January
last you did me the honor of elocti ng me
as your representative to the Dominion
Patllament, for which I return you my
sincere and heartfelt thanks. As Par-
liament has been dissolved and anntht r
election will be held on Monday, Octo-
ber 26th, 1 ant again a candidate for
your suffrages. As 1 have only been
permitted to have part of one 5091.)0

A good figure was realized by Ed. Nad-
iger for his handsome two-year-old
roadster at Zurich. It was a beauty
and took first at Exeter and Zurich.—
Mrs. Henry Kellerman and son of EIk-
tor are visiting here.—We are pleased
that Mr. Jacob Kellermann is recover-
ing nicely from the trouble he had in
his leg. At London Hospital he had
the bone scraped with good results.—
Mr. and Mrs. Barry Harris of Sarnia
visited the latter's Mother, Mrs. Louis
(tinker last week. The young couple
were on their honeymoon trip, having
been married in Sarnia on the llith.
A reception was tendered the young
Couple at the home of Mrs. Rinker and
a pleasant time spent. They have tet
turned to Sarnia where the will reside,

Mr. H, H. Brown of Toronto is visit-
ing his sister, Mrs. (Rev.) Butt.—The
Anniversary Services of the Methodist
Church were very successful on Sun-
day last, Rey. Mr. Wells, of Granton,
delivered two excellent sermons to
large congregations, while the Choir,
as usual, rendered some charming
music. The Trustees asked for an of-
fering of $150, and something over
that amount was contributed. Cen-
tralia Methodists are behind none for
their liberality and cordiality.—Mr. R.
A. Walmsley, Colporteur of the Cana-
dian Tract Society, addressed the
League on Tuesday evening and pleas-
ed all who heard him.—Mr. and Mrs. J.
J. Colwill are visiting relatives in Lon-
don this week.

The marriage of Charles Keen and
Miss Winnifred J. Tufts took place on
Sept. 30th at the home of the bride's
mother, Mrs. W. J. Tufts. The cere-
mony was performed by Rev. Veale in
the presence of n number of invited
quests. The young couple will reside
in the village and have the best wishes
of their many friends.
The Anniversary Services of the
Kirkton church on Sunday and Tues•
day were very successful. The sing -

ing added notch to the enjoyment.
